Who we are

School Calendar USA is operated by School Calendar USA (schoolcalendar-usa.com).

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us through the contact form.

When you visit the website

To display the website, our hosting provider Vercel Inc. processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of your visit. We need this to deliver the site, troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse. These server logs are kept for a short time and are not used to track you.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited most. In that case, Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information about your device and your visit. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

If you don't consent, Google Analytics does not set cookies. Through Google Consent Mode, only anonymous signals without identifiers are sent, which Google uses to estimate overall usage.

You can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings on our cookie page. Google Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We show ads through Google AdSense. To manage your choices, we use Google's consent message (Privacy & messaging), which follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.

Depending on your location and choices, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads and to tailor them to your interests. If you don't consent, you'll only see limited, non-personalized ads.

To learn more about how Google uses information, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

When you use the contact form

If you send us a message, we collect your name, email address and message so we can answer your question. To prevent spam and abuse, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is being filled out by a person; this involves processing technical information from your browser, without tracking cookies. We only store your IP address in encrypted form (as a hash), to stop anyone from using the form in bulk.

We automatically delete messages after 12 months, and messages identified as spam after 30 days.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information for money. We work with the following service providers and partners: Vercel Inc. (hosting), Convex, Inc. (database for contact messages), Cloudflare, Inc. (protecting the contact form) and Google (analytics, advertising and consent management). Our service providers are bound by agreements covering security and confidentiality.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. For information from visitors in Europe, transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Security

The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to contact messages is limited to the administrators who need it, and every time a message is viewed in the admin area, it is logged.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to limit how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. Send your request through the contact form; we'll respond within one month.

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.

Your US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or another state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, when Google and its partners use cookies to show personalized ads, some state laws may treat this as targeted advertising or as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out through Google's privacy choices, which are shown where required, and through Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also change your choice at any time on our cookie page.

To make any other request, use the contact form. We may need to verify your request, and you can use an authorized agent. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children's privacy

School Calendar USA is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our contact form. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
